Each year on the fashion radar, new clothing, looks, and colours take centre stage. This is the same for hairstyles. Some years, it's all about wearing your hair down, and in others, it's all about using colourful hair dyes to stand out.
With just three months left in the year, you must make the most out of these trends before new ones appear. If you have already changed your hair a few times or are unsure of which styles will suit you, keep reading. I have compiled some of my favourites below. As a bonus, all the trending 2022 styles I have chosen can be paired with your favourite designer headband.
Dressed Up Ponytails
As worn by the gorgeous Winnie Harlow in this stunning shot, a dressed-up ponytail can turn any look into a chic one. Though it looks super formal, this hairstyle is just like a regular high ponytail. It just requires some extra attention to the smoothness of the hair on the scalp and a little embezzlement. Winnie decorated this ponytail with a strand of her hair to cover the elastic. But, you can always use your favourite Piggi Designer Scrunchie to achieve an equally formal look.
If you're struggling to achieve that same flawless smoothness, you can also slick your hair back using a Piggi Alice Headband, such as my Dior Burgundy Oblique Trotter Padded Alice Headband.
A modern, curly shag
Curls are officially back again this year, and it's no secret why. A perm or some natural curls can add so much volume to your face. They can help accentuate all of your features without constantly needing to add excess accessories to your look.
This gorgeous shag, as worn by Alanna Arrington, proves that a little curl goes a long way. If you're not a fan of curls, you can also wear a shag haircut with straight hair. Plus, a shag is great for hairstyles of all lengths and colours, meaning this diverse and stylish cut looks great on almost anyone.
If you adore your shag haircut but want to change it up a little, you can add a larger Piggi Headband, like my Side Bow Button Headband made from Hermès Mors et Gourmettes Vichy. This headband will stand out against your voluminous haircut and can add even more glory to your stunning features.
Centre Parts
Funnily enough, the centre part trend started on TikTok with Millennials and Gen Z's battling it out over the most attractive hairstyle. Centre parts are fantastic for complimenting the symmetry of your face shape and elevating your natural beauty. They are a great way to show how truly gorgeous you are without doing much except running a brush through your hair.
If you are still phasing into this centre part crazy, you can always make it seem less obvious or protruding by styling it with a beautiful Piggi Headband. I recommend a unique design, like my Single Side Bow Headband made from Hermès Duo Cosmique. This is because the side bow can still bring about some asymmetry, which you are probably more used to adorn.
If you are looking for new designer accessories, I release them almost every week. So, make sure you keep an eye on my website to be the first to snatch up a new Piggi International find.

As we get older, more and more of us will worry about our skin and what we can do to keep it looking as flawless as possible. After years of sun exposure, however, our skin naturally becomes susceptible to wrinkles, dryness and conditions. This is particularly true around the eyes.
Though we can never completely eradicate wrinkles and the signs of ageing, unless we choose a cosmetic pathway, many products can make all the difference to the prevalence of skin changes. One of these, which may be a surprise to you, is sleep eye masks.
How do they do it? Well, when you choose sleep eye masks made from the best materials, like my designer silk sleep eye mask collection, the smooth qualities of silk do the following:
Sleep eye masks help prevent creasing
During our sleep, we toss and turn. As we move our face across our pillow and sheets, it naturally causes our skin to crease. This won't be as immediately noticeable on the skin around our arms, neck and legs. But, as the skin around the eyes is much more delicate, this can quickly transform into permanent wrinkles.
Wearing a sleep eye mask can reduce the tugging on the skin. Though it's not a definite way to eradicate wrinkles forever, it's a great way to prevent how quickly they form. This can stop premature ageing.
Silk products, like all designer accessories in my range, also contain natural amino acids that can soothe the skin. They're ideal for those who have dry skin or inflammatory conditions such as eczema.
Silk sleep eye masks moisturise the skin
Sounds crazy right? As mentioned above, silk contains amino acids which are great for the skin. On top of this, the way silk is woven; particularly that of Hermès quality, has a dense, smooth fibre texture. These fibres can keep moisture closer to your skin, mainly around the eyes. This works as a natural, overnight moisturiser without the need for excess creams.
Wearing a silk sleep mask overnight for just a few days can improve your skin's natural moisture. This can reduce dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles. All in all, a silk mask will give great boosts to your complexion.
Sleep eye masks prevent your pillow and sheets from absorbing your skincare routine
Unless you use silk ben linen all around, cotton fabrics are renowned for absorbing moisturisers and skincare products. Essentially, this means your skincare routine is rendered useless if you don't give your product enough time to settle in before you turn in for the night.
To prevent your pillow and sheets from absorbing your skincare; a silk eye mask can help. As it also benefits moisture, it can ensure the pores open up enough for your skin to feel the benefits of your routine.
At Piggi International, I am passionate about transforming the most beautiful and sought-after silk scarves into designer accessories. I have recently launched a new range of double-sided sleep eye masks for you to enjoy. If that's not your style, you can also check out my designer headbands and designer scrunchies.

It's perfect for holding all of your hair in place while you buckle down on some big business deals. With a beautiful Dior pattern, this Australian-made designer headband will also show that you are a lady of only the most refined taste. It's great for making outstanding first impressions; which are essential in the business world.
Hermès Red Anchor Men's Tie Double Bow Headband
If you're a lover of the ocean, this nautical-themed double bow headband is perfect for you. Fashioned from a designer Hermès men's tie, this gorgeous headband features miniature anchors all around. It's great for wearing when you're heading on your Sunday stroll or a lunch date with the girls.
If you love pairing your accessories with the occasion, you can also wear this beauty on a cruise.
At Piggi International, I specialise in creating designer accessories, including designer scrunchies, from upcycled vintage scarves. I'm also constantly updating my website with new products, so make sure you check back to secure some new styles.
]]>Everyone is unique. Everyone also has a different body shape, skin tone and fashion preferences. No two lovely ladies or men will ever dress the complete same, but there are certain things we can all consider, with respect to our body, to help accentuate our looks.
One of the most important of these is our colour choices when picking outfits and accessories to rock the streets. But, if you don't know what undertone your skin is or what colour suits you best, you may struggle to find clothing and accessories that complement you.
To help, I've put together this little guide. Use this when picking your next Piggi designer accessory to ensure you get the most out of it.
First, you need to know the tone of your skin tone
Though it initially seems complicated to work out, determining what undertones you have is actually incredibly easy. Before long, you will be talking like a fashion designer.
All you need is a white piece of paper and yourself. Simply wash your face so it's free of dirt. Then, wait 10-15 minutes until all redness subsides. From there, you just have to stand in a bright room in front of a mirror. Hold the paper next to your face and examine how you look.
If you notice a green, yellow or brown colour, you have warm undertones. If you have pink, blue or rosy colours, your undertones are cool. Lastly, if you find you look greyish, your undertones are neutral.
What colours will suit you best?
Before diving into this section. I want to remind everyone that you should wear what you feel most comfortable in. Whether it's a cosy sweater or a Piggi designer headband, feeling your best is more important than getting the colour theory right. This is merely a guide for those interested in learning more.
On that note, colour theory suggests that those with warmer skin tones will suit warm colours better. Honey, orange, gold, and warm greens and blues can help your features stand out beautifully. They're great for promoting a natural glow. Items like my Icons of H Ribbons Charm Bracelet can complement your skin tone and help add energy to your outfit.
Those with cooler skin colours typically suit deeper shades, such as royal blue, lilac and emerald green. But light warm colours, such as pink, can also elevate their features. If you want to get more summery tones into your outfit, my Centre Knot Headband, made from Hermès Mors et Gourmettes Vichy #1, is a great go-to.
Last but certainly not least, neutral skin tones sit in the middle of these two spectrums. They suit mild colours from both warm and skin tones. Wearing beige, brown, grey and off-white are also gorgeous ways to liven up your look.
At Piggi International, I am passionate about creating designer accessories to suit every skin tone. Make sure you check my website frequently to discover more incredible, new designer products.

Some brands spend years perfecting their image. Through carefully crafted marketing, they will do everything to make sure reach the right customers. As a result of a successful implementation of this marketing, brands will typically attract customers who live and breathe their values.
Though you may not realise it, when you purchase clothing, you are likely attracted to brands that align with your personality type or perceived sense of self. These clothes and brands are so powerful that they can even influence the first impression we make on others.
Here's what your favourite designer items may be saying about you:
Chanel
Lovers of Chanel are chic, elegant and leaders. They are independent and prefer to pave their own path through life. When Chanel lovers have a goal in mind, they will do everything to achieve it. They consider challenges a chance to grow. They always work to find the positive in every situation.
When they put on their favourite Chanel piece, like my CC Camellia Ivory Centre Knot Headband, they feel unstoppable.
Gucci
A lover of Gucci values structure and organisation. Everything in her home has a place, and she is happiest when things are neat and tidy. She loves spoiling herself and can't wait for new designer accessories to drop.
During the week, she loves sticking to her schedule. Organisation helps her get through every challenge. But, when the weekend rolls around, she isn't scared to let her hair down and have some fun. No matter where she is, you can find her wearing a beautiful Gucci accessory, like my The Great House of G Padded Alice Headband #3.
Hermès
Anyone who knows me knows that I have a soft spot for Hermes. Lovers of Hermes are fans of timeless, luxury fashion. They appreciate the finer things in life and enjoy spoiling themselves whenever they get the chance.
These ladies are always busy and love keeping themselves moving. When the day's work is done, you can still find them completing chores to ensure everything is nothing short of perfect. No matter where she is, she always incorporates some Hermès into her outfit.
My personal favourite is adding a Hermès headband, like my new Hermès Red Anchor Men's Tie Double Bow Headband
At Piggi International, I am passionate about helping every lover of designer fashion find an accessory that perfectly complements her attitude. I am constantly dropping new headbands and accessories made from authentic designer scarves and ties. Make sure you check my shop to discover my latest releases.

If you have purchased a Piggi designer scrunchie before or are thinking about doing so shortly, you may be worried about what you can do to make sure you maximise the wear of your designer accessory. Though many online scrunchie tips will tell you to place your scrunchies in the washing machine and dryer with your other clothes, this can impact the integrity of your accessory.
Whether you are looking for tips to maximise the life of your scrunchie, clean your scrunchie or keep it looking brand new, I am here to help. Here are some things you can do to ensure that your beautiful accessory always looks fantastic.
Never add it to wet hair
I know all too well the feeling of madly dashing out of the home without drying my hair. I am particularly guilty of it in the summer, knowing that the Sydney humidity and heat will handle my hair care, especially when I have a long agenda to take care of.
As much as you may feel inclined to tie your wet hair up with one of my scrunchies, I recommend you wait until it is completely dry. The water and any hair product you have used can dirty the scrunchie and cause the fabric to become weak. If you consistently wear it on wet hair, you may even find it begins to stain.
This rule is the same for my headbands, as water and wet hair products can ruin the quality of the product.
Don't overstretch the scrunchie
Like all scrunchies, the Piggi International range is made with elastic to ensure that it can hold your hair in place. Though you may prefer a tight ponytail, I recommend wearing the scrunchie loosely to prevent it from overstretching and weakening over time. If you want to wear a high, tight ponytail, you can always tie this up with a regular hair-tie, then use my designer scrunchie to decorate your look.
Wash in cold water only
If you need to wash your scrunchie, I recommend following silk-scarf cleaning guidelines, rather than scrunchie-care resources. These guidelines are specifically written to ensure the integrity of the silk is maintained.
Designer brands will recommend that you don't wash their silk scarves. However, this resource provides valuable tips regarding how you can care for these silk products in the event they do need a wash.
Despite how successful your washing experience may be, I advise that you only do so when the scrunchie is visibly soiled as consistent washing can cause the product to fade and become weaker.
At Piggi International, I am always creating new scrunchies for you to shop. If you are looking for your first or next designer accessory, you can find it on my site.
]]>While brands across the world purchase trademarks to prevent copycat products, unfortunately, there are still many producers who create fakes and sell them off as real. Though this is illegal and fraudulent, many of these products continue to circulate due to poorly regulated physical and digital markets, especially those such as eBay and Etsy. If you have one of these products on hand, whether you purchased it new or second-hand, you run the risk of fines.
But, with these copycats getting better and better, you may find it complex to identify if they're the real deal or not.
Across my time identifying various scarves, it's become clear that Hermès scarves are beyond the most copied on the market. So, when I'm sourcing them for my headbands and scrunchies, how do I tell the difference?
Here are just some ways I differentiate the reals from the fakes:
There is ALWAYS a grave accent over the E
Not commonly used in British English, accents can completely change the pronunciation of a word. In the word Hermès, this accent opens the E and ensures that it is not read silently. While it may not seem important for us English speakers, this accent is vital in French linguistics. Without it, it completely changes the name of the brand.
So, if you ever see a scarf missing this accent, you can automatically assume it is a fake.
All scarves after 1939 have the copyright logo (©)
To protect their property rights, in 1939, Hermès registered for a trademark. The copyright logo can be found on all their scarves produced since this date and will always be beside their logo.
Though many copycats may copy this logo onto their print, you can usually still determine if it's real or fake. If the copyright logo seems blurry, unclear or deformed, you can assume that the scarf is a fake.
The fabric is textured
Many people who haven't held a Hermès scarf before will automatically assume that their silk scarves are soft to the touch. However, as these scarves are woven by hand, they have fine ridges, meaning they can be slightly coarse to the touch. If it feels like polyester, it probably is, which is never a good sign.
Above this, all of the hems on Hermès scarves are hand-rolled. This means the stitches fold toward the face.
There will always be a name
Sometimes it may be difficult to spot, but Hermès scarves will almost always have their name printed on them. You may have to look deeply into the pattern to find this. For more popular scarves, a quick Google search will tell you where to find the name. In my range, you can see the scarf names easiest on my cushions.
The care tag will remain attached
This rule flows on for all designer scarves. The care tag is a sign of authenticity. If the scarf doesn't have a tag, it's always best to assume it is a fake.
At Piggi International, I have spent years perfecting the art of authenticating scarves. I am passionate about creating designer accessories out of products which are real. In this, I will NEVER sell a fake to increase profits.
If you suspect that an accessory from another designer is made from a fake, it's always best to check all of the above points, ask the producer to prove it's real and consult the help of an expert.

Sleep masks are not a thing of the future. In fact, they have been around for almost 100 years, with the first coming to life in 1930 with the promise that they would make sleeping better. And let's face it, while we would all like to say that we sleep easy every night, some of us struggle to fall into a deep sleep, sometimes causing us to toss and turn for hours on end.
I know people who have tried everything. From spraying lavender on their pillow to counting sheep and even taking sleeping pills. So what is it about these sleep masks that can simply do the trick?
Well, here are just some reasons they are renowned for helping people get some better shut-eye:
They Block Out The Light
Everyone's body has a circadian rhythm. And as complicated as it initially sounds, it's super easy to understand. Before the era of light, people worked during the day and slept through the night. While this is the main pattern that we still follow, many of us are still up after dark either watching TV, having a late dinner or just scrolling through the abyss of social media.
While our circadian rhythm is meant to work by making us feel tired at night, with the presence of more and more light in the home, it can become confusing. Wearing an eye mask can help block out any external light, whether it be from a partner's phone screen, outdoor light or the sunrise. This, in turn, helps us put our body in a better flow and fall to sleep much quicker.
They Prevent Dry Eyes
Have you ever woken up after finally falling asleep to find that your eyes are dry and irritated? Whether you sleep with the fan on, the window open or with pets, many factors can contribute to dry eyes. If you find that this feeling stops you from falling back to sleep, a sleep mask can help prevent it altogether.
Made to protect your eyes from the elements, it is a great tool for someone looking to keep their eyes lubricated without the need for excessive eye drops in the middle of the night.
Great For Light Sleepers
Some people wake very easily and are instantly alert after being woken. Sleep eye masks can help you avoid being woken in the night by an unexpected source. This could include:
At Piggi International, I am passionate about upcycling designer scarves and accessories to give them new life. I have a range of sleep masks on my site, fashioned from only the highest quality silk scarves. Not only are they super soft, but they're great for your skin and will have you feeling like royalty. We've seen some crazy changes in the market lately, where many people are opting for recycled fashion or old vintage looks over brand new designer collections. Yet, despite this shift throughout the Millennial and Gen Z populations, it seems so many people still can't get enough of the Gucci brand and the power it holds over them.
From young people to older ones, it seems everyone can identify those unique colours from over a mile away. And it's no surprise to be seeing people of all ages still adorning this brand's trademark logo. Whether it be on a brand new bag or a t-shirt found at an op-shop, people adore this iconic brand.
But what makes it so special?
Well, here are just some of the incredible features and benefits offered by Gucci:
Unmatched attention to quality manufacturing
While some brands can compete with Gucci on a price basis, not all can compete on a quality basis. With unmatched attention to detail and only the best quality assurance processes; Gucci is all about providing the finest clothing, materials and accessories to its customers.
They consistently boast about their detailed manufacturing process and the level of end-to-end care they show to every garment they produce. When you buy it off the rack, you can rest easy you will have it for years and years of wear.
They are a symbol of wealth
The clothing we wear is one of the easiest ways to show our prestige or self-image. For example, more rugged clothes can give off the energy that a person cares less about their appearance, whereas colourful dresses can show someone's girly side. Gucci has established its brand image in the market as one of wealth and high value.
Wearing their clothes is a statement. It can show others that you appreciate the finer things in life, have worked hard to grow your funds and have a great sense of taste. It is a statement of who you are as a person and who you want to continue to be.
Their rich history makes them instantly recognisable
As mentioned, it's hard to find an individual who doesn't see the Gucci colours and recognises the brand. Whether it's on one of my upcycled headbands or one of their fashionable t-shirts, the brand's long-standing history has made them instantly recognisable across multiple generations and demographics of individuals.
For someone spending high values of money on an article of clothing or an accessory, it can provide gratification when others recognise it on their person. Choosing Gucci means many people will quickly know that you have a sense of style and taste for upper-class designs.
At Piggi International, I am passionate about breathing life back into designer clothing. I enjoy sourcing vintage designer scarves, ties and other accessories that I can then transform into a range of headbands, scrunchies and cushions. If you are looking for a luxurious, unique but recognisable accessory, you are sure to find it in my shop.

So, how far back do our beloved headbands date? Keep reading to find out:
]]>We've seen a big growth in the popularity of headbands over the past few years. But, headbands aren't new to the market at all. They have been staple accessories for hundreds upon hundreds of years. The only thing that has changed in this time is the types of headbands in high demand and how they are styled.
So, how far back do our beloved headbands date? Keep reading to find out:
Ancient Greece
While they look much different to our modern headbands, those depicted in ancient Greek mythology are often made from olive tranches and twigs. Though they look very different, they served the same purpose as they do today by working to keep the hair out of the face while going about day-to-day duties.
While we can't say for sure that the Ancient Grecians were the pioneers of the headband and other hair accessories, such as scrunchies, the imagery demonstrates that this fashionable headwear has been around for much longer than we initially thought.
As well as Greek mythology, headbands have been represented through medieval history in the form of jewelled diadems.
The World Wars
Jumping forward through history; headbands became popular for women to wear during the world wars. As more and more women rolled up their sleeves and joined the home front, they needed to wear clothing that would help them work efficiently.
Also responsible for modernising pants, the wars revitalised the popularity of the headband, as many women wore coloured bandanas or similar designs around their heads to prevent sweat and keep their hair away from heavy machinery.
The 50s - 70s
After the wars, headbands became a popular fashion item and were known for their power to accentuate the face. They were made incredibly popular by figureheads including Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, making them an item that every woman wanted in her wardrobe.
As the 70s rolled around, these headbands became a statement piece for hippies and free spirits alike, who wanted to let their hair loose. By this time, it had become clear that a different style or slight variation in how a headband looked could completely change how an outfit looked.
The Modern Headband
It's no surprise to see that the headband is still in fashion. After all, they have supported women in creating powerful outfits for years. As of now, there are so many different headbands available for people to coordinate with their favourite clothes. Just some that you can find on my website include the Alice Headband (popularised by C.S Lewis), the Classic Knot Headband and the Twist Knot Headband.
If you're looking for a designer headband, my range is upcycled from designer vintage scarves, ties and accessories. They are often one-of-a-kind as well, meaning that you will be the only owner in the world. Discover them on Piggi International TODAY.
]]>When most people think of wearing a headband, they commonly assume that they are only great for casualwear. And while this is true for simply plastic or cloth headbands that you commonly find at jewellery stores, this isn't correct for the boutique headbands you can find from online sellers like myself.
Having worked carefully to master the art of creating gorgeously elegant designs that suit every occasion, designers like myself take pride in our ability to provide accessories that pair perfectly with a range of diverse outfits and looks. For many, it's just learning how to pair them with these formal, more dressy outfits to create a finished and harmonious look.
That's why I'm here to help.
When you're looking to incorporate a headband into a more formal outfit, here are some styling tips to consider:
Complement the colour of your outfit
While fashion has become more daring, a typical formal look is elegant, sleek and easy on the eyes. It can create a 'wow' factor without using an excessive amount of colours or clashing prints. Working to match your headband to the colour of your dress, pantsuit, jumpsuit, or outfit can help create that pop that you need.
Sticking to a headband that contains fewer colours, like my H in the Boardroom Alice Headband is the way to go when you are first adjusting to adding a headband to a formal look. As you get more and more confident adding this accessory to your outfit, you can get more daring and play with more energetic styles.
Wear minimal accessories when wearing a headband
Naturally, a headband is an eye-catching accessory, especially if it is a runched style headband. Pairing too many other accessories with this look can quickly dress down your outfit as it will distract the eye line and cause disarray between each individual element.
If you must wear some other accessories, wearing a pair of earrings or a bracelet is best as these aren't as distracting as a necklace. Remember, your outfit is the main element, and your accessories are there to accentuate it. Despite popular belief, less is more, and a simple headband can be enough to complete your look.
When in doubt, wear your hair up
Many people regularly wear their hair down or in a messy ponytail, so getting your hair done in a beautiful updo is one of the easiest ways to add an extra touch of formality to your outfit. Adding a headband, like one of my Alice Headbands to your look can elongate your face and divert the eye line.
If you aren't someone who frequently wears hair accessories, this can revolutionise how you look. Just like changing your makeup, these small changes can show the effort that went into a look and can immediately showcase that you are dressing to look your best.
At Piggi International, I have a range of headbands that you can pair with all outfits. If headbands aren't your thing or you already have too many to count, I also have a range of scrunchies that you can discover and enjoy for yourself. Shop them online today.

If you haven't already needed to run out and stock up on some warm clothes, chances are, you probably will be doing so very soon! If you want to look like one of the hottest on the street, it's best to check all of the upcoming trends before you head on your next shopping trip.
]]>It's nearly hard to believe that winter is only a few short weeks away. But low and behold, we Aussies are almost in June, which means we are going to be seeing fewer crop tops and more jumpers over the coming weeks.
If you haven't already needed to run out and stock up on some warm clothes, chances are, you probably will be doing so very soon! If you want to look like one of the hottest on the street, it's best to check all of the upcoming trends before you head on your next shopping trip.
To help, I've compiled some of my favourite trends which have started emerging. Check them out below.
Brown is back
For the longest time, the market was covered in colour. And don't get me wrong, I love a bright outfit as much as the next person! But it's been very refreshing to see one of my favourite colours making a comeback, especially after such a long time out of the spotlight.
I've seen so many people wearing brown outfits, including brown pantsuits, to formal events. And let me tell you, it is 100% class.
If you're unsure about adding more brown into your outfits, you can always start small with a simple singlet or pair of pants. You could even start with the accessories by adding my Classic LV Bunny Knot Scrunchie to your look, as its subtle brown tones won't overpower your love of colour.
Checked looks are taking over
Those beloved checked looks that we all fell in love with after watching Clueless have officially made a comeback. If you haven't already seen every blogger and influencer rocking them, you're sure to see these looks appear as the winter weather kicks in.
You will most likely see these stunning designs represented on fashionable blazers and jackets. But, you may also catch some cute skirts, stockings and tops while embarking on your winter adventures.
If you want something more elegant than a checked design while still staying on-trend, Hermès' Bolduc Au Carre will never let you down. I have some headbands and scrunchies made from this stunning design, including the very lovely H Is For Red HOT Classic Knot Headband.
Bonnets and Turbans are in
A more period style of headwear, it was difficult to believe that bonnets and turbans were making a comeback, but they have dominated winter fashion shows across the world. Great for keeping the ears and head warm while elongating the face, they are a beautiful and unique way to show off all of your features.
Plus, with some fashionable options available, this old style of headwear has been completely transformed into a gorgeous modern look.
If you aren't too keen on the old look that a bonnet creates, you can achieve the same elongated illusion with a beautiful classic knot headband from my range.
Passionate about creating hair accessories that exhibit the latest fashion trends, you will always find a unique, upcycled find at Piggi International. Shop the range online to discover an accessory you can't live without.

While designer clothing has been a must-have for many for decades upon decades, designer furniture has only started growing in popularity with the increase of modern housing across the country. While many may find that they can purchase low-cost furniture and homewares at department stores, there are many benefits to spending the extra few dollars on some upper-class, luxurious furniture.
Some of these include:
Making an impression
For many, a home is an extension of their personality. It is a way to show others the person you are and the type of energy that you bring to the table. In this, having a refined and classy aura to your home can show others that you are a person who appreciates the finer things in life.
If you are someone who frequently hosts house parties or gatherings, it is also a wonderful way to impress those you may not be as acquainted with, including work colleagues.
Bringing your space together
Every room needs a focal point or key feature. For some rooms, this could be consistent with the artwork that decorates the home. And for others, this may be created through the cushions that tie the room together.
Rather than decorating completely with designer furniture, you can use a few design elements as the focal point in your room to avert the eye line. This will add a touch of your essence to your home without becoming overpowering.
They show your attention to detail
Incorporating luxury pieces into a home will show others how much you care about the small stuff. Rather than showing that you value simplicity as most modern homes do, it demonstrates that you care deeply about every single element of your home. Just as luxury designs and elements work to represent your passion for class, this can translate your extreme eye for care and details to others.
But, this translation doesn't only occur on a home scope. It can also represent that you are caring and detail-focused to those in your life. It is a unique way to show that you want to look after everyone, including your family and friends.
It helps to build your dream home
Everyone has a vision of what they want their home to be. Whether it's a vision of the elements you want to include or the colours you want to incorporate, I haven't met someone who hasn't had a dream about their future abode.
If you are looking for intricate, timeless designs that can last a lifetime, you will find them across designer branded furniture. This is because many of the accessories and patterns they launch are rare and limited in stock, meaning they hold their worth well.
At Piggi International, I am passionate about transforming old designer scarves into a range of accessories. One of my favourite projects is transforming these designs into throw pillows and cushions. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind piece to light up your home, you'll find one online.

Though, it's no secret as to why. These versatile hair accessories can be worn so many different ways and have the power to add so much to an outfit. Not only this, but they are so much more colourful than regular hair ties and can often completely transform how your favourite outfit looks.
]]>Scrunchies made a comeback a few years ago. And while many people thought they would be out of style as quickly as they came back, they have proven to stick around for years and years.
Though, it's no secret as to why. These versatile hair accessories can be worn so many different ways and have the power to add so much to an outfit. Not only this, but they are so much more colourful than regular hair ties and can often completely transform how your favourite outfit looks.
So much more than a colourful accessory, there are many other reasons why our beloved scrunchies have proven to empower any woman.
Just some of these fantastic benefits include:
Adding depth to the face
Every lady wants to show off her best features. By adding texture to your outfit, you will create a distinct separation between your clothing and your features. Now there's no need to worry! This separation won't confuse anyone. It simply works by sectioning off your face and pulling out your desirable features, including the eyes, cheekbones, lips and eyebrows.
This allows your outfit to complement your beautiful features, rather than overpower them, and helps everything work in harmony to have you feeling your best.
They love your hair
Hair elastics that are too thin or contain metal sections can damage your hair. If you're someone who dyes your hair frequently, these hair ties can lead to more breakage and frizziness, which can be hard to tame.
Hair scrunchies, particularly the ones I make at Piggi, are made from soft, silk materials and are gentle on the hair. They can naturally glide along your strands and don't sit too tightly on your hair, meaning they are less likely to cause irreversible damage.
As a bonus, their soft texture is also perfect for avoiding hair kinks, which can be difficult to flatten out.
Because updos are in fashion
For the longest time, wearing your hair out was a MUST. It was the peak of the fashion world, and every celebrity was doing it. But, as time passes, more and more of Hollywood's hottest are getting accustomed to wearing their hair up.
Even so, many designers love incorporating high ponytail looks on their runways to accentuate their model's face and tie their entire look together. With buns, ponytails and pigtails reclaiming the fashion world as retro looks come back into style, having an abundance of hair scrunchies at your avail will ensure that you have the perfect one for every outfit.
Dress them up or dress them down
Scrunchies are perfect for getting your hair out of your face, especially if you have thick hair and need something to keep it at bay. But more than just a tool to hold a messy bun, they are great for dressing up and adding to any outfit.
From formalwear to picnic attire, matching your scrunchie to your outfit can help you do your hair up in style. As a simple tip, I prefer to use patterned scrunchies for a day out of semi-formal attire. I then leave sleek, monochrome scrunchies aside for formalwear and fancy-dress nights.
At Piggi International, I am passionate about turning some of the most beautiful designer scarves and ties into gorgeous hair accessories. If you are looking for a designer scrunchie or even a fashionable designer headband, I am sure to have it available online. Shop my range today.
]]>In these first few months of the year, our fashion trends start to settle in. It makes it a perfect time to watch the streets and get a great idea of what HOT accessories we are all rocking.
]]>Believe it or not, we are almost already one third into 2022. And while the year has flown by, plenty has already happened, especially in the fashion world.
In these first few months of the year, our fashion trends start to settle in. It makes it a perfect time to watch the streets and get a great idea of what HOT accessories we are all rocking.
Over the past few months, I've seen some awesome accessory trends emerge on the streets, and I'm so glad to see some designs making a comeback. Some of the fantastic trends that I've personally noticed include:
The return of gold earrings
While gold hoops or gold sleepers never quite disappeared from the world, with the emergence of rose gold and costume jewellery trends, it was rare to catch someone wearing gold statement earrings. With monochromes coming back in fashion, many people are now opting for stunning gold jewellery as a way to brighten up their looks.
Available in a range of designs, like my Butterfly Papillion Earrings, they can add a personal touch to any outfit.
Chunky Bracelets
We saw retro outfits and styles begin to make a comeback at the end of 2021, and this trend has only continued to grow more and more in popularity over time. With crochet styles rocking the streets and clogs making a comeback already, it's no surprise that chunky bangles and bracelets have also made a reappearance.
Styles like my Ava Green Acrylic Green Bracelet not only liven up any outfit, but they can add that touch of bling and sparkle that every lady needs to feel her best.
Layered Necklaces
If the winter puffer jackets weren't enough to prove it, adding depth to outfits is officially in. If you're looking to create a multi-dimensional, chic look before the winter weather kicks in, layering necklaces is a great way to do so.
The biggest trend of all at the moment is to layer chunky chain necklaces. But if you prefer something thinner or lighter, you can layer just about any necklace. For example, my Bella Summer Garden Jewel Necklace is ideal for pairing with a choker chain to add some more intensity to your outfit.
Regardless of what types of accessories you are looking for, I have a beautiful, designer range online at Piggi International. If jewellery isn't really your thing, you can also discover some designer headbands and scrunchies on my website.
]]>Fast fashion has taken over the world. And while it is a great way to stay ahead of the design world, it is having a tremendous impact on the planet as we know it. Though I love designer fashion, I also adore sustainability and making conscious fashion choices. After all, that's how Piggi was born.
If you're a lover of all things designer and elegance, that's okay. You don't need to stop buying your favourite things. But, you can choose products that will withstand the test of time.
Just some designer accessories that have proven to hold their value include:
Chanel Bags and Accessories
The iconic double C logo is beloved by many. So much so that the resell value of their bags can reach up to 90% of their original value. These accessories pair perfectly with all sorts of outfits, including elegant formalwear, business attire and a vintage fit.
The power of the CC extends so far that when featured in any outfit, it can add an elegant twist. Take my upcycled Chanel designer headbands, for example. When added to even the most basic outfits, they can add a touch of class, beauty and timelessness like no other.
Hermès Designs
Though Hermès designs don't always hold their value as well as Chanel products, their prints are known to make a comeback. Take the famous Bolduc Au Carre print. While it may have lost value for a short while, it has made a huge comeback. It's now one of the most sort-after prints on the market.
With a range of scarves, silks, bags and accessories that consistently come back 'on-trend,' these pieces are fantastic to hold onto as they often make reappearances in the fashion world. If you do have a piece that is damaged or you aren't sure will come back in stock, you can always contact me. I will transform it into a beautiful headband or scrunchie for you.
The Louis Vuitton Monogram
Designed in 1896, the Louis Vuitton is loved by everyone, even those who aren't big fans of the designer world. So much so that old, vintage stock often scores a higher price than newer products. It makes holding onto your Louis Vuitton finds all the more important and shows that sometimes having one good, timeless piece is better than having multiple that will shortly end up in landfill.
Don't forget. Like all accessories, worn out, vintage Louis Vuitton pieces can be upcycled to give them a new lease on life and keep them out of waste.
The thing I love most about designer fashion is that it holds its value for long periods. Though new collections are released, old products can often be worn for years on end until they are no longer wearable. It makes them a great way to reduce the number of clothes you need to purchase each season.
If you are looking for some fabulous, upcycled goodies, I am always adding new stock to my Piggi range. Check out my shop TODAY.

Luckily, when it comes to smart casual attire, it can be super easy to dress up your chosen outfit, especially if you arrive feeling underdressed.
]]>The theme, Smart Casual, always gets me. With no clear indication of what everyone is wearing, it can be hard to work out if you should wear a dress, jeans, pants or a maxi skirt. And depending on the crowd involved, the theme can change so drastically from one occasion to another.
Luckily, when it comes to smart casual attire, it can be super easy to dress up your chosen outfit, especially if you arrive feeling underdressed.
When you aren't sure what you can do to improve your look, these simple tips ALWAYS work:
Change your shoes
I will be the first to admit that heels are painful. But they are also an awesome alternative when you need to quickly add a formal touch to a casual outfit. I always find that something bright or sparkly can add that ounce of elegance a denim look needs. However, just about any pair of heels can revolutionise even the most casual looks.
Add a statement piece
Jewellery and accessories have the power to change even the simplest of outfits into a designer look. When you're wearing a basic dress, you can add a shimmery belt to accentuate your waist. In the same way, you can add a bold necklace or pair of earrings to draw attention to your facial features.
Regardless, any jewellery that has an elegant feel to it will make your outfit look more expensive and formal.
A bag is your best friend
Whether you like a shoulder bag, purse or clutch, adding a bag to your look can add a sense of professionalism, which is perfect for dressing up an outfit. Especially great for business casual dress codes, adding a sparkly or elegant bag means you can still rock your favourite jeans or coat while attending events.
For an added touch of unison, be sure to pair your bag with those rocking heels you chose.
Do your hair and make-up differently
Particularly important if you are attending an event with a group that you usually see every day, changing up your hair and makeup can add a drop of formality to even the most casual attire.
If you usually wear your hair down, try tying it up with a designer scrunchie to show off your jawline. Similarly, if you frequently wear your hair up, letting it loose and adding a designer headband can help redirect the eyeline and keep the attention on you.
No matter what event you are attending next, I have the perfect range of accessories that you can wear to dress up an outfit. With headbands, scrunchies and jewellery made from designer scarves and ties, my range will add the touch of class that you need to be the best dressed.
]]>Once an accessory for schoolkids, headbands are now a staple piece for stylish ladies and runway models. But if you haven't worn a headband since your days in school, you may be struggling to understand what makes them so great.
]]>Headbands, clips and scrunchies have made a comeback like no other. And while many people thought they would just be another quick fad, they have stuck around for years. In fact, they are still growing in popularity as each season changes.
Once an accessory for schoolkids, headbands are now a staple piece for stylish ladies and runway models. But if you haven't worn a headband since your days in school, you may be struggling to understand what makes them so great.
That's where I come in! Keep reading to discover some of the fantastic perks of keeping one of these accessories in your home.
They can revolutionise a casual look
Heading to brunch or the beach? I know all too well the feeling of wanting to dress casually and look nice at the same time. If you want to create an outfit that doesn't appear like it was put together in a few minutes but is still super comfortable, you can easily dress things up with a headband on your side.
Pairing perfectly with jeans, a cardigan, a casual dress and even a messy up-do, a headband can completely revolutionise any outfit with little to no additional effort.
Perfect when your hair just isn't sitting right
Whether we like to admit it or not, we have all experienced a bad hair day, where no matter what we do, our hairdo doesn't want to sit right. When even a basic up-do isn't acting the way it should, having a headband on your side can keep even the most unruly hairstyles in place.
More than that, they're also ideal for keeping fly-aways at bay so you can look your best all day long.
Keeps hair out of your face
We all know the feeling of how frustrating hair in our face can be, especially on a stressful day at work. If you know you have a big day or event coming up, having a headband on your person or stashed in your handbag can pull you out of a sticky situation.
Shows who you truly are
Like all fashion, a headband acts as an extension of yourself. It's a way to show people what you love and your favourite styles. Ideal to add to formalwear, casual wear and even an active ensemble, can add that perfect splash of colour, texture and essence to your outfit.
At Piggi International, I create headbands for ladies with a love of class, designer fashion and looking their best. With new handmade designs always being released, you're sure to find something you love. Visit my store TODAY.

If you're looking to stay on top of these growing trends and ensure you wear the most designer looks on the market, keep reading to discover some of my favourite fads that have emerged so far.
]]>We are only three weeks into autumn, but already we have seen some unique and inspiring fashion trends beginning to take over our streets. From urban outerwear to sleek evening looks, this month is already proving to be a great one in the fashion world, and it's only going to go up from here.
If you're looking to stay on top of these growing trends and ensure you wear the most designer looks on the market, keep reading to discover some of my favourite fads that have emerged so far.
Dopamine Dressing
Just as it sounds, Dopamine Dressing is all about improving your mood through the power of colours, patterns and unique styles. It is based on the idea that the clothes we wear can have an exceptionally positive impact on the way we look, but more so, the way we feel.
Growing in popularity, especially as it gets colder, Dopamine Dressing has taken over the streets already. Wherever you look, it seems that you can already find a bright coat, patterned jumper or quirky shawl in sight. And this is only going to grow as the weather cools down, the days get darker, and the atmosphere feels gloomier.
If you're not a fan of wearing bright and bold colours all around, you can always start small, with a designer headband or unique piece of costume jewellery.
Quilted, puffed looks
It's time to pull out your old bomber jacket because quilted looks are officially back in style. As well as being super warm and perfect for the cooling days, quilted looks are usually dominated by bright, bold colours that can help you stand out from the crowd. They pair perfectly with the concept of Dopamine Dressing as well as the world's growing love of all things colourful.
As we all know, the Australian winters can waver dramatically. Some days are exceptionally cold, while others are warm and lively. When you can't have a quilted coat on your side, you can always keep a scrunchie on hand to stick with this puffy trend.
Adding neutral notes
Though it is all about being bold right now, using neural colours to colour block can make your fashion decisions POP. Tones such as ivory and stone are growing in popularity as they complement all colours.
Be careful not to wear too many neutral colours though. You don't want them to be the dominant feature of your outfit. Rather, you should only be using them to enhance an already bright look.
Take my Geometric GG Classic Knot Headband, for example. While it does feature a dark sand colour, this is used to showcase just how bold the red, blue, green and pink tones are. Even though it is prevalent, it doesn't steal the spotlight.
At Piggi International, I am all about staying on top of the latest fashion trends to deliver you high-class designer accessories. With a wide range available in my shop, you're sure to find something you love. Check it out TODAY by clicking HERE.
]]>It seems like the days of wearing muted colours and blending into the crowd are officially over. Across the past few years, everyday fashion has become more daring and unique, and we have finally reached a peak where women and men are encouraged to express themselves and their beliefs through their clothing. As such, the years of muted greys and beige tones have been quickly replaced by bright colours and mismatched getups.
More than just a source of self-expression, did you know that incorporating bright colours into your outfits, whether they be casual, eveningwear or even designer clothing, can energise the soul?
Here's how:
Certain Colours Invoke Certain Emotions
Whether you believe it or not, all you have to do is look around at facilities, advertising and almost every aspect of your day-to-day life to realise that colour has a firm grip on our emotions. For example, red is associated with danger, especially when on the road. Just seeing a bright red stop sign naturally perks our sense of awareness and can force our minds to focus.
At a basic level, warm colours like red, yellow and orange usually motivate more powerful emotions, including love, anger and happiness. Opposingly, cool colours can invoke calmness, tranquillity and indifference.
When the right combination of the two is used, like on my H is for HOT Pink Runched Crown Headband #1, you can achieve a perfect balance of emotions that fuel your wellbeing.
Colour Can Help You Feel Good About Yourself
Based on our undertones, everyone has a colour or ground of colours that can take their look to the next level. Finding these colours can help put a bright smile on your face as you will have elements in your wardrobe that you know will bring out your gorgeous natural features.
Warm skin tones typically look best in earthy tones, including coral, olive and honey. Cool skin tones usually suit colder colours, including blue, lavender and rose. And neutral skin tones work best with muted versions of colours, including medium blue, jade and red.
If you're not sure which colour suits you best, doing some research can always help. But at the end of the day, finding a colour that you feel happy in is the key to fashion success.
Remember, you can always start small with an accessory, such as a coloured designer headband, scrunchie or piece of jewellery.
At Piggi International, I am passionate about creating handmade designer accessories that everyone can enjoy. I love giving vintage designer scarves a new lease on life and have a wide range of one-of-a-kind accessories on my site. Shop NOW to discover them all.
]]>While designer fashion has always remained quite refined, the industry is using colour blocking more and more to draw attention to their designs. Though fashion shows have always been a place to exhibit the wildest of designs, these colour blocking trends have become prominent, even in a designer's everyday wear collection.
Although there was a huge colour blocking trend about a decade ago, the past few months have been all about reinstating retro fashion, and what better way to do so than with bright designs that immediately steal your attention.
If you are always looking to stay on top of the trends but are new to the idea of merging opposing colours together, this quick guide will help you stay in line with the fashion world.
The Colour Wheel Is Your Best Friend
Think back to your art classes back in high school, where you would learn all about the power of the colour wheel. Whether you remember them or not, those lessons essentially provide the fundamentals of colour blocking. '
Basically, all you have to do is open up an image of a colour wheel and follow these two steps.
1. Choose your base colour - this might be the colour of a jumper that you are dying to wear or the colour of your newest Piggi headband.
2. Choose a colour that is either directly next to it or directly opposite to it on the colour wheel. From there, you have successfully picked out 2 colours blocked items of clothing.
It's okay to start slow
If you're one to make safer fashion choices, that is totally okay! Everyone moves at their own pace when it comes to clothing. A simple yet effective way to colour block would be by pairing a neutral colour (such as beige, brown or grey) with a bold primary colour.
This still has the same attention-grabbing effects, just to a smaller degree.
When you're comfortable, take some time experimenting
At first, you may find you are simply colour blocking your t-shirt with your scrunchie. But, as you become more confident with this phenomenon, you can take the time to experiment with all sorts of articles of clothing.
From wearing a stunning bold pantsuit with a bright undershirt, all the way to colour blocking in your home, as time goes on, you simply won't be able to get enough of this retro feel. And trust me when I say, you will become a fashion icon amongst your friends in no time.
At Piggi International, I specialise in making designer accessories you can pair with your favourite outfits. From headbands to scrunchies, cushions and even jewellery, my range is always being updated with new, exciting pieces. Shop it TODAY.
]]>Sometimes, all you want to do is slick your hair back without tying it up. While this is a reality for women with thin hair, my thick-haired girls will know about the impossibility of keeping everything in place. When you want to wear your hair down but also want it out of your face, there's no better accessory than a trusty headband.
Although the lines between professional wear and casual wear have continued to blur, it can be hard to decide whether a headband is too casual to wear on a day in the office. But, unsurprisingly, if you style it right, a headband can even dress up your office wear and help you appear more classy.
Some ways you can incorporate a headband into your office attire include:
Wear Fewer Accessories
A headband is a big statement piece, and like all accessories, it has the power to add a formal or casual touch to any outfit. Pairing your headband with big earrings or a bright necklace may be perfect for a weekend look, but it can significantly dress down your office wear and create dissonance across your outfit.
If you want to include plenty of jewellery in your look, keeping it simple is the way to go, as it won't detract from the professionalism of your outfit.
Choose A Headband With A Simple Design
Across Piggi International, I have a range of different headbands. Some are bright, bold and know how to make a statement, while others are simple and feminine. Sticking to these simpler designs is a great way to incorporate some girliness into your professional outfit while not distracting attention from your office attire.
These simpler designs will also complement the checked office designs that are so in style at the moment, meaning you won't need to revamp your wardrobe to revolutionise your work style.
Stick To A More Subtle Style
Wearing headbands to work, especially in offices with a stricter dress code, is still an incredibly new idea for many business owners. As such, you should introduce this look into your office simply and subtly.
For the first few times you choose to rock this look at work, you should incorporate it with muted colours, such as greys, blush, navy blues and beige. Doing so will help you stick closely to the traditional office style, while also showcasing your own unique style.
At Piggi International, I have headbands, scrunchies and accessories to suit all occasions. If you're looking to change up your look or find a trendy, designer accessory, look no further than my shop.

So, how did this once no-name brand come to rule the world?
]]>In the fashion industry, we are always talking about the uniquely revolutionary styles of Coco Chanel. Amongst the numerous designer brands on the market, Chanel is known to be daring, bold and influential. But more than that, they are known as a brand that can truly help women alike find their inner power and voice.
So, how did this once no-name brand come to rule the world?
Well, here are some of my favourite facts about the history of this iconic brand:
The Introduction of Trousers For Women
While I love wearing a good skirt or dress, there is nothing better than the utter strength that comes from a flattering pair of pants. During World War II, it was common for women to wear pants when taking on the jobs typically reserved for men. But, the style officially took off when Chanel chose to wear a pair of sailors pants to the beach to cover up and protect her skin.
This iconic move won the hearts of many women, and within months, it was common for every reformist woman to have a pair of pants in her wardrobe.
The Colour Black
Believe it or not, the colour black was once only suitable for funerals and widows. All everyday and formal outfits were commonly crafted from bright, colourful fabrics of red, green and electric blue. After Chanel commented that the colours were impossible and made her feel ill, she was soon sketched in Vogue wearing a knee-length black dress.
Its flattering design was soon adopted by many women and became known for its slimming qualities. It wasn't long before every woman owned something black.
The Birth Of Costume Jewellery
Chanel was not the first designer to incorporate costume jewellery into her look, but she was the most influential. All starting when she introduced fake pearls and gemstones into her wardrobe, women all around the world began discovering the extravagant impact that a glistening statement piece could have on an outfit.
Like all her looks, this one certainly took the world by storm, but for a different reason. Many women agreed with Chanel who said 'she would rather have a mass of low-cost costume jewellery, rather than a handful of expensive pieces.'
At Piggi International, I absolutely adore the monumental impacts that Chanel's fashion movement continues to have on the world. Her legacy has reformed the world of fashion on numerous occasions and will continue to for decades to come. I always try to get my hands on some unique Chanel pieces to create headbands, scrunchies and more. Check them out in my shop TODAY!
]]>While we all love a pop of colour and adding some exciting new patterns to our wardrobe, not as many would think to play with various textures. But, did you know that texture can have a monumental impact on the look and feel of your outfit?
Simply swapping out a cotton shirt for velvet, silk, wool, or another fabric with a different visual appeal can help break your outfit up and draw attention to all the right places. And this is the same for the accessories you choose to wear as they can completely divert the eye line and bring an entirely new feel to your favourite looks.
With an extraordinary range of headbands made from silk scarves, adding some of my accessories to your wardrobe can make all the difference.
While the power of a textured accessory has many benefits, some of my favourites include:
Smooth textures can accentuate the figure in all the right places
A smooth, silky texture can soften any outfit and remove any irregularities that may be obscuring our figure.
It can achieve this by creating a seamless transition from your skin to your accessory or article of clothing. In doing so, it doesn't have a bulging effect and can instead make your face or body appear longer.
Crisp textures can smooth the skin
Coarse or heavily textured accessories stand away from the body when worn. This means they act as a separate entity when placed together in an outfit. While this may not seem like what you need initially, this coarse texture is fantastic at luring in attention and is usually one of the first things people will spot about your outfit.
As such, it can help to hide impurities, such as wrinkles, acne or scarring without the need for excessive make-up. I particularly love coarse fabrics as they can help people be more accepting of their natural self.
Bulky textures can balance out the figure
If you're wearing an outfit that is heavy on your bottom half, such as a frilled skirt or some flared pants, adding a bulky texture to the crown of your head can help balance out your figure, so you feel your best self all night long.
At Piggi International, I am all about designing headbands, scrunchies and jewellery that can accentuate your features and showcase your love for fashion. I am constantly releasing new products for you to enjoy. Visit my shop to discover more today!
]]>
Here at Piggi International, I love a good scrunchie. They're so versatile, easy to wear and can be worn in most hair types without causing any irreversible damage. But more than that, having a scrunchie on hand is fantastic for getting your hair out of your face, especially after a long day.
Not only this, but with such bright, bubbly colours and elegant designs, scrunchies do a great job at setting the tone and mood for your outfit. So, you must style your hair to match the energy they are creating.
Some of my favourite ways to tie a scrunchie include:
The Low Ponytail
If you want to create an elegant, refined and girlish look to your outfit, you can't go wrong with a low ponytail. This tying style is also super easy and can be achieved in seconds. Just pull your hair back towards your shoulders, loop the scrunchie around, and you're done.
I find that a low ponytail always works best when you are wearing a backless top or an outfit that isn't too heavy about the neck as it works to define your facial features. If you don't like having all of your hair back, pulling a few strands loose will also draw attention to your eyes.
The Messy Bun
My love for a messy hairstyle will never be matched. When done right, they can show off your calm, relaxed nature while still representing what a powerful woman you are. As most messy buns also sit on top of your head, they are also ideal if you want to show off your exciting new Piggi find to all of your friends.
Though messy buns are perfect for all seasons, including the hot summer when you want your hair off your neck, I love the way they can tie an outfit together in the winter. Pairing perfectly with a scarf, thick coat or neck accessory, you can never go wrong when a messy bun is involved.
The Side Braid
If you love having your hair up but also love to let it hang low, a side braid or plait can add a quirky, cute and refined touch to an outfit. As your braid will be swept over your shoulder, this hairstyle works to add depth to your outfit and can even work to create the illusion that you are wearing multiple layers. Plus, tying it off with a gorgeous Piggi scrunchie can completely revolutionise even the simplest of outfits.
I always find that braids provide a great hairstyle for those transitional seasons in the year, when it is too hot to have your hair sticking to your neck, but still cool enough to wear it low.
At Piggi International, as well as scrunchies, I also have a great range of upcycled headbands, cushions and more! Check them out in my shop today.
]]>As you may or may not know, here at Piggi International, I am passionate about creating headbands that women from all over the world can love and enjoy. Although different styles and trends arise in time, I love experimenting with folding techniques to achieve unique finished products so every lovely lady can find a headband that perfectly suits her fashion preferences.
If you're only just re-entering the world of head accessories and aren't sure which headband will best compliment your looks, I've put together this little guide to help you find just what you're looking for.
Twist & Classic Knot Headband
Ideal for those with a rounder face shape, a classic or twist knot headband, like my Ladies of H Classic Knot Headband, works to elongate the face by drawing attention upwards. In this, people will be more naturally drawn to your features, particularly your eyes, as their attention is pulled slightly upwards from the centre of your face.
As round faces are typically the most symmetrical, it is also best to find a headband that knots in the centre to create perfect harmony with your features.
Twist Knot headbands can also have the same impact for those with a diamond face shape, especially if your cheekbones are very pronounced.
Alice Headband
Those with strong features, including defined eyebrows, a pronounced jawline or an oval face, will typically veer towards flatter, less obvious styles of headbands. This is because the more subtle shape of the headband won't take away from their prominent facial features but will still add a touch of colour and style to their fit.
Headbands like my All The Kings Men GG Tie Padded Headband are perfect for those who want to keep the attention on their face or dominant features but still want to dress up their look in a uniquely stylish way.
But don't forget, just because a specific style or trend tells you one thing doesn't mean you can't still buy an accessory you love. Learning how to dress it up to your specific needs is a perfect way to become more in touch with your fashionable side.
At Piggi International, I am always scouting the world for new and exciting designer scarves to transform into beautiful, upcycled accessories. More than just headbands, you can also discover scrunchies, cushions and more on my site! Visit my shop today to find a one-of-a-kind piece for yourself.
]]>Whether you're a long-term lover of all things designer or you've only just become acquainted with this wonderful world, you will at some point have come to realise that most people have a brand they lean towards more than others. While their wardrobes may be filled with all sorts of brands and exquisite finds, in more cases than one, I have met people who have a specific soft spot for particular brand names.
But why is this the case?
But why is this the case?
While you may be quick to think that it simply revolves around a love of the patterns or colours the brand predominately uses, it actually dives much deeper. In fact, many people who have a brand preference, whether they know it or not, typically do so because their brand of choice perfectly matches their personality and complements the way they portray themselves to the world.
So, with so many luxury brands on the market, how do you know which one is the one for you?
This detailed breakdown of some of the brands I stock is sure to help you out!

With an eye for detail and precision, Hermès has perfected the balance between bold professionalism and uniqueness to create a brand focused on standing out from the crowd in an elegantly classy way.
Focused on high-quality, but not afraid to try something daring, Hermès quickly draws the attention of those who have an appreciation for art and eccentric designs.
With key values rooted in perfection, the brand usually best relates to those who consider themselves the best in their field.
As seen on this Giddyup H Raunched Crown Headband, Hermès is all about taking something classy and adding an eclectic spin.
Louis Vuitton
Rooted in tradition and subtlety, Louis Vuitton has a deep focus on finding beauty in small, simple things. They consistently show how a consistent design, with stylistic tweaks, can transform a generation and create a sense of unmatched class.
Using more muted colours, Louis Vuitton combines their heritage with a love for adapting to the modern world to create a perfect blend of modern innovativeness. They usually resonate best with those who have an old soul, a love for the finer things in life and an appreciation of simplicity.
As seen on my gorgeous Monogram Love LV Scrunchie, the brand consistently uses the same iconic monogram, paired with new design features to show their love for the past, present and future fashion worlds.
Chanel
Founded on empowering women and revolutionising the fashion world, Chanel is all about breaking the rules in a sophisticated, intelligent, yet exciting way. With a less-is-more approach to their looks, they are all about accentuating the women within their attire to show their true power and daring spirit.
For this reason, Chanel best resonates with women who often act on impulse and want to make an impact on the world. It is for those who have a loud spirit and aren't afraid to show it to the world as they can bring the subtlety of the designs to their life.
As seen on this stunning array of hair clips, these simple, yet powerful designs let the women do the talking and will provide all the support needed to show the world the powerhouse she is.

Whether the elastic gives in, the zipper breaks or the heel snaps off, there is rarely much we can do to revive these possessions to their original state once they have reached their time.
In the same way, while high-quality luxury products are known to last longer, they too will eventually see the effects of wear and tear. Across the years, hundreds of rare, vintage scarves have travelled the globe, and in one way or another, many have soon seen the impacts of time.
But, just because they can no longer be worn as a scarf, doesn't mean their beauty can't continue to dazzle the world.
Being an avid shopper & collector of all things fashion, as well as having a high regard for responsible fashion, when I discovered designer scarves languishing in thrift stores after only a small blemish appeared, I knew just what I could do with them! And so, Piggi International was born.
Loving how much history each unique scarf I came across held, and with my knack for up-cycling and bringing beauty back to even the most pre-loved items i get to work on them, upcycling them into an array of accessories! I have been so overwhelmed with the love you have all shared for my headbands, scrunchies, cushions and more.
But, while you know plenty about the scarves, how much do you know about my processes in transforming them into new, beautiful accessories?
Just some of the steps I work through to perfect every item on my site include:
Clean baby clean
As soon as I acquire a new scarf, I check to see how badly it is damaged and if it needs to go to the dry cleaners. Sometimes they just need to be aired for a few days to rid them of that old closet smell!
Cut around any over-loved sections
As much as a small tear, pen mark, or frayed hem can tell a story, to get my accessories looking perfect, I closely analyse every section of the scarf and cut around and damage that can't be salvaged.
Time to sew
With my leftover fabric, I determine what accessories can be made, and I always ensure to use as much of the scarf as possible to adhere to my love for responsible fashion. Larger sections can be transformed into pillows and headbands, while smaller ones can create charm bracelets, scrunchies, hair ties and other trinkets.
Once the sewing is done, I photograph it and from there, you will see it launch on my online shop where you can snatch up these one-of-a-kind pieces!

Washing your face regularly
If you know you are in for a long day of mask-wearing, it’s important to wash your face with a soft cleanser at every opportunity you get. I highly recommend doing so in the morning, before you put your mask on, and as soon as you arrive home. But, if you are at work or have access to bathroom facilities, there’s no shame in bringing your cleanser with you and giving your face a refreshing rinse at least twice throughout the day as well.
Wear light makeup
Where you can’t completely avoid wearing makeup, using a product with a lighter coverage will allow your skin to breathe more freely underneath your mask. While makeup may not directly cause maskne, it can prolong the healing process by clogging your pores.
Use reusable face masks that you can wash
Disposable face masks should only be worn for 24 hours, then disposed of. While there is no major problem for your skin with using a new disposable mask each day, this can have a devastating impact on the planet due to a rise in pollution. Purchasing 2-3 fabric masks and washing them regularly can help prevent contaminants from touching your skin while assisting the planet at the same time.
Choose the right materials
Most importantly, it’s vital you avoid synthetic fabrics when choosing your face mask. Fabrics synch as nylon can irritate your skin and lead to increased redness, whereas natural cotton is soft on the skin and won’t cause any damage. Having the option to adjust your mask, so it doesn’t sit too tightly on your skin, will also prevent irritation from arising.
At Piggi International, I have a range of handmade, cotton face masks made from Liberty Tana Lawn Cottons to provide maximum comfort, no matter how long you may need to wear them. Discover them in my shop today!
]]>“You’re just paying for the name.”
If you’re into designer fashion, this is definitely something you’ve heard once or twice while shopping or speaking with price-sensitive friends and family members. For them, seeing high prices for a seemingly basic piece of clothing is incredibly unjustifiable.
]]>If you’re into designer fashion, this is definitely something you’ve heard once or twice while shopping or speaking with price-sensitive friends and family members. For them, seeing high prices for a seemingly basic piece of clothing is incredibly unjustifiable.
When it comes to discussions like these, it’s no secret that they can get heated, especially when both parties believe they are in the right. So, are you really paying for just a name? Or does quality and craftsmanship truly come into play?
Acceptable Quality Level
While the fabrics used, stitching and designs may look similar at first, designer brands more strictly follow an acceptable quality level to ensure that their clothing and accessories are distributed to the highest standard possible. Where you may find loose seams and dangling threads on cheaper clothing, you are very unlikely to find this on a designer product.
In the same way, designer scarves use only the highest quality techniques to ensure that their prints are flawless. Brands such as Hermès have a trademarked design and technique that can be found amongst all of their scarves. When I am sourcing these scarves to make my headbands, scrunchies and cushions, I always make certain to quality check them all, so you are guaranteed that you’re getting the real deal.
Higher quality materials
While it is not the case for all designer brands, those brands that follow up on their promise for the best quality product on the market will often use much higher quality materials. These are typically harder to locate, source and import, and thus they tend to drive prices up phenomenally.
While there aren’t many ways to test if a fabric is high quality in the short term, there are many long-term measures, including:
Keeping note of when you purchased a designer piece, how long you’ve worn it and how often it has been washed, then comparing it with others can help you understand where you are getting the best value for money.
But Remember…
All brands are different. If you try one high-quality brand and notice that the value is not there, it doesn’t mean they are all the same. I have made it a personal value of mine to use only the best-valued and long-lasting scarves I can find when designing my accessories, and with a little research, you can also understand which brands prose the best quality for you.
So, in answer to the question, a higher price can mean higher quality, but it’s important that you follow a brand that is committed to this quality assurance and hasn’t simply scaled up prices to appear luxurious.
